Ok, I give in...25 Things about me you don't know

There is this thing going around Facebook, where if you are "tagged" you have to write a note and say 25 things about you that people don't know.  I've resisted, but now I've been tagged several times, so ok, I give in.  I am doing this off of my blog b/c it will get posted to FB because I havent blogged in over 6 months!

1) Yes, I do sometimes look down and say to myself "dang," but I've had 'em since I was young.

2) I'm probably one of the most sensitive people I know. Wall-E made me cry and when I think about it, I still get choked up. His just wanting to connect with one person and his sense of i'll find cool things, how he loved EVE, when he fed his best friend. man, I'm going to start crying now.

3) I've loaned/am owed literally thousands of dollars to people over the years and haven't been repaid. Losers suck, but I have finally learned my lesson. I hate people who know they owe people money, but won't work 3-4 jobs to try to get out of your whole. Many of them I see online all day complaining about how they can't get a break.

4) I am extremely self aware and self-reflective and know all of my flaws and don't need people to point them out to me. I inherited the best of my parents traits as well as the worse. As an adult, it makes me laugh to see both of my parents in me. People say you seem like you have it all together and I dont'. nobody does. everybody has something in their life. i know it, embrace and try to work through it

5) I can't stand people who allow their circumstances to control them (see #3). They bitch, complain, moan about things they put themselves into. You miss so much in life. Why not view the positive side and wake up with a smile? Not saying things can't be bad and I don't wallow in self pity from time to time, but dang. these are the people who see the world as out to get them and take no responsibility for what they put in the world. They really piss e off.

6) I'm much more religious than folks probably think I am. God has blessed me beyond beyond and His unconditional love has gotten me through some times. I think rather than beating folks up with you should be a Christian, I try to lead by example, i.e. look how God has blessed me, if you work the program, He can bless you too. Being a Christian means praying for blessings for those who have wrong you, not cutting them off. In fact, when I get all cynical, angry, etc. I find the best cure is to pray for that person's happiness and blessings. It's HARD!

7) As much as I love my cats, I am not spending thousands of dollars on treatments for them. I'm pretty practical that way. If Roxie caught something, I would cry, but down she goes. So in the end, am I really the crazy cat lady?

8) It wasn't until I was 29, I realized how completely insecure I was about my looks (and the underlying reasons why) and my reactions with men. Now, I'm working through it and having a great time in the process

9) I've always been a sentimentalist. When I was 9, I bought a heart lock & key and said I was going to give it to my husband. unfortunately I lost it.

10) I used to believe I was one of those people who would know their husband immediately when I saw him. this may or may not be true since i don't have a husband. I know though I want someone to look at me the way Barack looks at Michelle, the way V looks at R and the way K looks at F :o)

11) People don't believe me when I tell them I am shy. I am, especially when I am alone. Being in groups gives me courage, I wouldn't have by myself (which is why people don't believe me b/c they never see that I'm shy. see the logic?)

12) My short stubby toes come from my father's father. I realized I had his feet about a year before he passed when I was helping him get dressed.

13) I still watch Saved By the Bell in the mornings when I get ready & Sabrina the teenage witch. I hate watching those morning news shows, except for Robin in the morning.

14) My dark side says the end of the world is coming soon and ya'll better get right with God. Global warming, the random acts of violence, the shift in society. Be ready

15) I sometimes do things that I know are crazy, just for the stories to tell my friends. Ask me about the times I've placed ads on Craigslist, lol.

16) I've had that "smile" since I was born. I also get told I look mean a lot when I'm deep in thought. As a result, I try to smile more unless I want folks to leave me alone

17) I can fall asleep anywhere and I have fallen asleep even at the bar in a club.

18) There are a few people I love unconditionally and if they were to walk out of my life right now, I would go after them, hunt them down and kick their asses for hurting me like that. There are a few friends I don't see as often (because we don't live near each other anymore) that I miss alot.

19) Everybody I have known that has died has been old and sick (grandparents, great aunts, etc.). I didn't get sad when they died because all of them were ready to go, end the pain and go to Heaven. I got to say to goodbye to most of them. My sadness for my grandfather came for example, 3 years later when I knew how much he would have loved to see me buy a house

20) When I'm done with with a guy, I'm done with him. I tend to fall very easily and one I've realized it's not going to work out, that's a wrap. There are only two guys I still think about what could have been, but the timing was completely off and I completely realize that. What is supposed to happen, happens (#6)

21) I firmly believe "water rises to its own level" and I, since I believe I am destined for greatness, try to hang with folks doing the same

22) Writing to me is like breathing. I write much more than people think I do. My world isn't right, if I don't write

23) I am a true Libra. A great Saturday night for me can be Indian food, Family guy and someone to cuddle with - or drinking and dancing in a club

24) Speaking of clubs, I love, love, love to people watch in clubs. I love to read the body language of the women & men when they are interacting. you can tell so much from people's body language.

25) I wonder when at what age I will be too old to go to a club.
