Long time no see...

so I know it's been awhile and many things have happened that I feel the need to comment on.  In the style of Madgirl (http://madgirl.blog-city.com) I'm going to write an angry blog.

The Holidays
Due to the rigors of school all I really wanted was to sleep and chill out. I actually didn't want any gifts. The last thing I need is more stuff. I'm trying to get rid of the stuff I have now.

Brad & Jen

Why is it breaking news that Brad Pitt & Jennifer Aniston broke up? Am I the only person who is sickened by America's constant celebrity worship? Rags like US Weekly, People, Star. I mean do i have to know every single thing Gweneth does? Oh look, there is George Clooney getting coffee just like us! Stop the effin madness already. E! had hourly updates on the Brad & Jen breakup!!! Come come now there are plenty of other stories going on!

I got a solicitation for a magazine for parents to help them understand the latest music, movies and fashion and help them be better parents. Bascially it says it will decipher everything for you so you don't have to waste your time going to concerts, movies etc. I am not sure if this is a good thing or anothe rshortcut from parents in the "raising" of their children.

Movies

Why have all the movies I've seen lately have been garbage? the House of Flying Daggers was ok, but got super sappy and generic in the end. Blade 3 sucked, Ocean's 12 super sucked and all the movies currently out look like recycled shitty hollywood garbage

School

I still haven't gotten back into the rhythm of school yet. It takes me about a week before I realize oh snap, I am in school again!  The classes are still hard, but I have a broader variety of classes this term so it's even hard to keep everything straight in my mind.

Most of my classmates are currently freaking out about finding jobs for the summer.  I am trying to stay out of the line of fire even though I am doing some on campus recruiting.  I realize that with a lot of networking and a lot of pounding the pavement I can find a summer job even if all of my interviews wind up garbage!

Personal life

A couple of other things. 

I posit to the public - Have we really moved beyond race?  The dichotmy of my b-school experience to what I know has shown me that no, we haven't.  We've simply buried it to where it isn't talked about.  It's politically incorrect to even acknowledge that you had thoughts of someone because of race.  Let's talk about this shit.  I self-define through my race.  I can't get away from it.

to Usher, you weren't the first to come out with  a long music video.  Michael Jackson had many before you.  At least have the decency to recognize that you are simply biting his style and RESPECT  yours elders.  Defference !!!!
