Rather than rant and rave about the DINGS I'm getting from my recruiting process (if you want to be a consultant, practice case interviews until you structure your sleep.  If you are not naturally a structured person then do this until you go blue in the face) I thought I would entertain you with my old study group member's slang from England.  We had good times learning these and I hope you can pick up a tidbit or two...

Sit the mock (do a mock trial)

Old chestnuts (old expressions)

Old rope (worthless #@$#)

Canary wharfer

Fill your boots (go for it big guy)

Rib tickler

Get your finger out

Get someone’s back up (piss them off (i.e. cat))

Get your leg over (get some action)

Brass monkeys (Bad weather)

Western (meltdown)

Taking the mickey/Taking the piss (pulling someone’s leg)

Pull the other one, it’s got bells on it.

Spitting feathers (angry)

Take the wrong end of the stick (misinterpret)

Half-cut, Pissed as a newt, drunk as a lord (drunk)

Ram it mate (shove it)

Fist (derogatory term)

Skin (not wealthy)

Ass about face (ass-backwards)
