What I find most interesting regarding Bob Johnson's remarks over Barack Obama's stated drug use is how it shows just how out of touch he is with today's Black America, well at least the Black America that I know. First, his support of Hillary Clinton. While I would have supported her as my default candidate had Obama not been proven at least somewhat electable, she would not be my first choice for Mrs. Prez. While it's cliche, what this country needs and is desperate for is Change. Change from politics as usual, change from a two-party system that spends more time and money sniping at each other then getting anything accomplished. Most of my friends and the Black America I know is supporting Obama. The second indication that he is out of touch with Black America is look at the coon show that BET has become and became under his watch even before he sold it to Viacom. Now I don't consider his selling BET to Viacom selling out. I think there could have been a lot done with the network. But under his watch the slow degeneration of BET into nothing but T&A videos getting rid of programs like BET news, BET Jazz and representing a wide variety of Black experiences in Black America. Again, that's why the folks I know don't watch BET and I presume he isn't catering to my audience anymore. Normally I don't hold corporations to such high standards but Bob, when he started the network, created those standards himself. It's sad though, but it's also why I hope TV One succeeds.
I feel your comment about support HRC until... I was right there waiting
for his campaign to come real, even though I pushed him to do it...
